Temporary Trading Halt Due to the Addition of a Leap Second
According to an official announcement made by the International Earth Rotation Service (IERS), a leap second will be added to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on 30 June 2015, at 23:59:59 (GMT). A leap second is a one-second adjustment that is occasionally applied to UTC to synchronize the world’s atomic clocks with astronomical time to keep clocks as accurate as possible.
Please take note that the equivalent Server Time during which the addition of this leap second takes place will be 01:59:59 on 1 July 2015. Due to such an event, Blackwell Trader will temporarily halt trading on 1 July 2015, at 01:55:00 Server Time.
The expected trading halt will last for about 10 minutes. However, due to any unforeseen spread widening and speed of execution with our liquidity provider, there might be a need for extension of the halt. We will allow trading to resume as soon as market regains stability and back to normal market conditions.
You will still be able to log into your account during the 10-minute window, however, execution of trades during this time will not be allowed.
